Everyone’s on dating apps these days. And if you’re in one, don’t just sit around once you get a match. Make an effort to build a connection and meet with them!

Well, of course, that’s easier said than done.

Almost everyone on dating apps is competing on who can get the most matches. Specifically, the pretty girls compete over attractive men while the average Joes fight over decent-looking women.

When you do get a match, you say one wrong thing to them, and they might “ghost” you right away, bringing you back to zero. So, you’re not even guaranteed any success with your hundreds or thousands of matches.

Still, dating apps are among the easiest and fastest ways to get a date since most — if not all — can be accessed for free. Heck, that’s why almost everyone is on dating apps.

While other people’s intentions don’t align with yours, there are plenty others who are willing to give you a chance. In fact, many couples these days are married all because of dating apps, so it’s not hopeless for you yet.

Option 2: Matchmaking Websites

Most people who register on matchmaking websites have one goal: marriage.

No one’s messing around on these sites. They are there to find love, not just a partner to share their nights with.

Matchmaking websites have hundreds of people registered. Although it’s not as fast-paced as apps, I can honestly say it’s the best way to get a girlfriend mostly because people there are more genuine about their pursuit in love compared to those who use dating apps.

Option 3: Traveling

Over the last few years, it has become a little harder for men to date women, especially those in progressive societies. Women have higher standards now, and the average Joe gets pushed to the side. Any decent man looking for a woman to love suddenly has lower chances than before, making the dating industry a little more hopeless.

That’s why it’s better to try your luck elsewhere — plenty of people outside your country are more willing to date you. They have a different mindset and standards compared to those living in the US.

If you think it’s hopeless to find a partner in your home country, try your luck somewhere else instead. Your chances are there, trust me.

Expand Your Horizons

There’s no pressure in putting yourself out there. However, if you’ve done nothing but complain about being single, then you’re the only one to blame for your inaction.

Stop being on your phone. A pretty woman isn’t going to waltz into your life. You need to make an effort to meet her too.

She might be out there too, merely waiting for you.
