Yes and yes.

Some people plan to cheat on their partner if they are unhappy in their relationship or seeking something that they feel is missing.

I know people who intentionally seek out opportunities to cheat, such as flirting with someone else or arranging to meet up with someone they’re attracted to.

However, in other cases, cheating can also happen unexpectedly or as a result of circumstances.

For instance, someone may be in a vulnerable emotional state and find comfort in the attention of someone else, leading to cheating.

Or, perhaps they’re under the influence of drugs or alcohol and make a decision they wouldn’t have made otherwise.

In these cases, the cheating may not have been planned, but rather a result of the situation they found themselves in.

Nevertheless, cheating is never excusable. Planned or not, you can never justify cheating as it is a betrayal of trust that destroys lives.
