As a Thai woman, the smartest and yet easiest way to impress us is to show some respect for our culture and traditions.
Don’t just assume that you know everything there is to know about Thailand, and don’t try to act like you’re an expert on our customs or beliefs.
Instead, take the time to learn about Thai culture and show a genuine interest in our way of life.
Learn a few basic phrases in Thai, try some local cuisine, and show a willingness to learn and grow.
And whatever you do, avoid any cultural faux pas or offensive behavior. Don’t disrespect the monarchy, don’t touch people’s heads, and don’t show the soles of your feet.
Trust me, these are all big no-nos that can leave a bad impression.
