“If you love someone, you should fight for them.”

In some cases, the saying applies, but in others, it’s simply out of place.

Not giving up on someone you love is courageous and noble when it leads you to a better place. In other words, it makes you a happier person.

However, this doesn’t mean that taking the risk will be easy. It will still be scary and painful at times, but in the end, the joy and fulfillment will outweigh the suffering that you had to go through.

On the other hand, if fighting for the relationship only leads to sadness and pain with no real growth, then perhaps it’s already a lost battle in the first place.

Sacrificing yourself for the relationship would be pointless because you’ll be left drained and helpless.

Love should bring out the best in you and open you up to a better life. If it doesn’t, accept that it’s not worth fighting for.
